Gordon Ramsay Sells his British stake in Paris

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is to sell his restaurant in the French capital Paris amid rumours about his company's finances.

When Gordon Ramsay opened his first and only restaurant in France last year, he declared in typically foul-mouthed fashion that he would deliver the best of British cooking in the heart of haute cuisine.

The French culinary snobs that he decried appear, however, to have had the last laugh, as the television chef has decided to sell the Gordon Ramsay au Trianon.

Ramsay, who has been beset by persistent rumours about his company's finances, has quietly sold the restaurant, which was awarded two Michelin stars earlier this month, to the owners of the Trianon Palace Hotel, in Versailles, west of Paris.
